Whats the weather/climate like and whens the best time to go?
Just like Queensland the great barrier reef has two seasons the dry season and the wet season. The dry season has low humidity low rain fall but doesn't have that warm temperature or sunshine. The wet season is in summer with hot weather and high humidity and a high chance of rain. Although this time seams like this wouldn't be the best time, it is. The sun is high in the sky and the water is great swimming temperature, the water is clear and the the air is warm.
What is the flora and fauna like?
The great barrier reef has more than just fish and coral. It has 1625 species of of fish mostly consisted of coral reef species. It has 6/7 species of the world marine turtle, sharks, dugons, dolphins, whales, sting rays and sea snakes, just to name a few.
